Double whammy for Burstner at 2010 Awards

Burstner once again beat the competition to take two trophies at the 2010 Which Motorcaravan Awards, now in their fifth year.

Editors Choice Awards: Burstner Aero Van t 700

The Burstner Aero Van t 700 won the 2010 Editor’s Choice Award, with its striking black bodywork, chromed grille, three-pointed star and alloy wheels. The Aero Van scored top points on its good looks but the way it drives was what really caught the judges’ attention. Which Motorcaravan describes this motorhome as “simply stunning” on the road - high praise indeed from a team that test drives virtually every new vehicle as it comes onto the market. The Aero Van also won praise for its interpretation of the fixed-bed layout, modern design and attention to detail. The L-shaped kitchen comes complete with slide-out worktop and techno tower with 150 litre fridge/freezer and oven with grill. Other features of the t 700 model include a space-saving swivel basin the bathroom, two Heki sunroofs, reversing sensors and cab climate control as standard. In the words of judge Peter Vaughan “I want one”.

Interior Design Award: Burstner Elegance i 821G

Burstner also went on to collect the 2010 interior design award with its top of the range Elegance i 821 G motorhome. The judges verdict was that the 821 G “really stands out from the crowd this year” with its 11 upholstery options, leather-clad lounge and internal LED lights all adding up to an impressive and luxurious interior. Particular mention was made of the level of comfort that has been designed into this model as well as its obvious good looks, with solid wooden furniture, well-padded seating and “huge” transverse beds.

Judge Marie Vaira summed up the Burstner, saying that in a year of cost-cutting, “it’s a welcome relief to reward something that’s so ostentatious and opulent”. Burstner is no stranger to these Awards. The manufacturer took two trophies in last year’s competition, when the Burstner Ixeo it 664 won the Innovation Award and the Burstner Nexxo Family 694 was awarded both Best Family Motorhome and Motorhome of the Year.
