2013 Motorhome Awards: Compact Motorhome of the Year

Joint Winner: Burstner Brevio t600 available for sale at Southdowns

MMM and Which Motorcaravan Magazines have announced winners of the collectively held, Motorhome of the Year awards 2013.

The Best Compact Motorhome of the Year Award has been won jointly by the Burstner Brevio T600 and the Hymer Compact 404. These two are together because they’re almost identical twins. Brevio and Compact are both made by Burstner.

Differences are in pricing and styling details. The design concept places a compact lounge up front, centre kitchen and bathroom, and transverse fixed bed in the rear. This design is almost the same as Europe’s most popular high-top panel van conversion, with one important exception: the rear panel is a giant tailgate that lifts to make loading bulky kit a pleasure.

The bed is large and comfy and folds away, increasing the load space to bike-swallowing proportions. Advantages of this layout in a coachbuilt body are centred around increased space - squarer in shape, it offers more room in almost all areas.
