Mansell sets sights on Concorde - again
When former Grand Prix World Champion Nigel Mansell spotted a
Concorde
motorhome in the paddock at a motor racing circuit in 2005, he was so impressed
he knocked on the door and asked the owner where he could get one from.
A trip to 2005 Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf to check out the Concorde range, put him in touch with Southdowns Motorcaravans’ MD Michael Ayling, and in 2006 he took delivery of a 6.5 ton Concorde Charisma 890 M.
For the F1 and Indy Car ace, it was the start of an ongoing affair
with these luxurious motorhomes. Earlier this year, Mansell decided to go one
better: having added an HGV licence to his many driving skills, Mansell
took delivery of a top-of-the range
Concorde Liner 990 M.
